Shout a stranger a coffee.

Buy a coffee, a feed or a haircut at a local spot and leave it for whoever needs it next. Anyone nearby can grab it. No questions asked.

How it works

Four steps. Zero awkward.

inkynd is a pay-it-forward marketplace for your neighbourhood. Real things from real local businesses, passed on to whoever could use them.

01

Shout one

Buy something at a local spot. It drops into your neighbourhood's pool.

02

Grab one

See something nearby? Claim it. It's yours for the next hour.

03

Show the code

Flash your code at the counter. Done in seconds.

04

Pass it on

The business gets paid. And when you're flush, you shout the next one.

Made for moments like these

For the days that need it.

Running on empty

The 3pm slump hits different when a flat white's already paid for.

New postcode

First week somewhere new? Lunch is on the neighbourhood.

Just because

You don't need a reason. Sometimes you just need a win.

Good week?

Shout someone you'll never meet. That's the whole point.

For local businesses

Good for the soul. Good for business.

Add a few items to the pool and get paid in full every time one's redeemed. New faces, happy regulars and nothing new to learn at the counter.

  • Paid in full on every redemption
  • A quick code check at the counter. That's it.
  • Track every redemption in your dashboard
  • Be the local everyone talks about

An inkynd local

"Remember when you knew everyone on your street? I built inkynd to bring a bit of that back. Shout someone when life's good. Let someone shout you when it isn't."

FAQs

The quick answers.

Is inkynd a charity?

Nope. It's a local marketplace. People buy real items from real businesses and leave them in a shared pool for anyone nearby to claim.

Who can claim something?

Anyone with an inkynd account. No proof, no forms, no explaining yourself.

How many can I claim?

One at a time. Once you claim something it's held for you for an hour, so there's time to get to the counter.

What if I don't make it in time?

No stress. After an hour it goes back in the pool for the next person.

How do businesses get paid?

In full, as soon as the item's redeemed at the counter. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.

Where can I use it?

We're in private beta in Sydney and signing up local spots now. iPhone and Android apps are on the way.
